Are you eager to get a flat and sexy stomach but too tired to go to the gym for a work-out? Why not bring the gym to your own comfort? With the required equipments, you could easily workout at home anytime you want. Here are some of the do-it-yourself exercises for a flat stomach that you could do for that flat stomach that you’ve always wanted.

Go out and do some cardio!

Just like an athlete in training, cardio exercises including brisk walking, jogging, swimming, skipping, cycling and running are needed before doing your regular exercise to have that flat stomach. It is best to start your morning with some stretches and some running. If you have a pet dog, you may turn your daily task of walking your dog into an exercise. When parking your car, park far from your office so you’d add more exercise to your daily routine. Also, don’t spend you’re weekends at home watching movies, go out and have some  fun, go for a swim or play a sport. Not only do you gain new friends, you also lose some of those unwanted fat. The American College of Sports Medicine notes that to lose weight or maintain weight, you need to perform 60 to 90 minutes of moderately intense cardio five days a week.

Crunch to strengthen abdominal area

Even if it’s raining outside, you could still do exercises at home. To get rid or simply tone that stomach, perform at least five to 10 abdominal crunches every day. Crunches may not be able to burn fats on your stomach specifically but it helps to tone your abdominal area. This is best after a cardio exercise as this exercise defines your stomach muscles so you may appear slimmer. Also strengthening your core helps improve your posture making your stomach look slim and flat.

Eat and drink healthy

Even if you are not working out or watching over your calories, it is always best to watch your daily food intake, besides, you are what you eat. And since you are aiming for a flat stomach, you have to be strict with the food that you eat. Restrict your total daily calories. Cut down sweets, junk foods, refined carbohydrates, processed food and trans fat from your diet and replace them with foods such as vegetables, whole grains, fresh fruits and healthy fats such as olive oil. Also and most importantly, you should add your daily water intake. Remember that you sweat alot when you exercise and you would not want to be dehydrated because of your workout. Drink at least 10 to 14 glasses of water every day. This keeps your body well-hydrated, helps your body get rid of toxins and improves your metabolism.

Do these exercises regularly and you’re on a sure road to a trim and flat stomach. If you are a starter, don’t rush, you must not overexert to prevent injuries. In the long run, you’ll be able to pass through this routine and engage on more hardcore exercises. Also, don’t forget to add a pinch of discipline and patience in your everyday workout.
